Entries are closing soon for the 2020 Premier’s Sustainability Awards
Entering the awards is a great chance to reflect on your project, share the achievements of your initiatives to a wider audience and be recognised as a leader in sustainability. Finalists will be announced in September and promoted to customers, media and local community throughout Victoria.
Entering is as simple as deciding you have a project you want to enter, consolidating the information you already have and submitting your entry: you don’t have to be nominated.
Enter the awards
To get an idea for entering in 2020, take a look at the award categories and eligibility criteria and terms and conditions to see if entering is right for you this year and you meet the entry requirements.
Decide which category or categories your project or initiative best suits. Only one entry is accepted per category, however you can enter your project into more than one category – provided that the entry meets the eligibility criteria of each category. You will need to create a separate entry for each category.
Start your online entry and submit by the entry deadline of 5pm, Monday 20 July. There is no fee to enter.
If you need assistance with your entry or have a question, please contact Nation Partners at
email@example.com or call them on 0459 710 375.
In 2020 entrants are required to respond to five questions about their project that was completed in 2019 or the stage of the project you are entering was completed in 2019. When you submit the entry include documentation such as graphs or media coverage, photos or videos to support the response.
The five questions are:
- What were the objectives of your initiative? (300 words maximum)
- How did you implement your initiative? Describe the process and any challenges you faced. (300 words maximum)
- What were the sustainability outcomes* and results of your initiative in 2019? (300 words maximum)
- How did your initiative engage stakeholders and use partnerships to achieve sustainable outcomes? (300 words maximum)
- How could your initiative be continued or expanded in the future? (300 words maximum)
The most successful entries tell their story clearly, explain the broader and lasting value of the initiative, express their passion for sustainability, and provide relevant, clear supporting evidence materials.
Entry close date of Monday 20 July (5pm) is final: there will be no extensions provided.
Your entry information will be securely saved and confidential.
*Sustainability outcomes can range from a waste avoidance behaviour change campaign that reduces waste to landfill, to the installation of solar panels to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, to the development of an innovative construction material that maximises the value of resources to support a more circular economy. The outcomes describe how an initiative benefits society and the environment in the long term. If you are unsure about how to articulate sustainability outcomes, a useful framing is the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, a set of 17 global goals to guide sustainable development.
